FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking an NPI Test Engineer Lead to lead test development and support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs while optimizing test processes for production readiness. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Engineering Department in a production and office environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.
The NPI Test Engineer Lead will develop and validate test strategies, manage test equipment and fixtures, and provide technical leadership to test engineers and technicians while assisting the Engineering Department as needed.

The NPI Test Engineer Lead will develop and validate test strategies, manage test equipment and fixtures, and provide technical leadership to test engineers and technicians while assisting the Engineering Department as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead test engineering activities for NPI programs from prototype through mass production readiness.
- Develop, validate, and deploy functional, in-circuit, and system-level test processes and strategies.
- Serve as the technical lead for test engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate test equipment, fixtures, and tooling procurement with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Support test engineering validation for new products and prepare detailed NPI test reports and customer recommendations.
- Ensure test readiness by aligning current and future test capacity with production requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex PCB and system-level failures and recommend design or process improvements.
- Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations teams to improve test coverage and yield.
- Track test equipment uptime, downtime, and repair trends, and implement countermeasures to improve efficiency.
- Drive Preventative Maintenance programs for all test equipment and systems.
- Lead PFMEA and risk assessments related to test processes during NPI and production ramp.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support customer audits, internal audits, and compliance requirements related to test processes.
- Coordinate and support production ramp and mass production test transitions.
- Mentor team members on best practices in test engineering and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience in test engineering within electronics manufacturing or NPI environments required.
- Experience with PCBA test systems, including FVT, ICT, FT, and boundary scan preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes, PCB design, and manufacturing test methodologies.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers and technicians preferred.
- Proficiency in test equipment, fixture design, and test software platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in both office and hands-on production environments.
