FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to provide technical leadership in developing and managing test processes and expanding test capacity for printed circuit board assemblies. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for leading test engineering activities within the Testing Department in a production environment and have the opportunity to demonstrate technical and people leadership while expanding your career in Smart Manufacturing.
The Lead Test Engineer will oversee test process strategy and capacity utilization for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, support New Product Introduction (NPI), and provide mentorship and technical direction to test engineering and production teams.

The Lead Test Engineer will oversee test process strategy and capacity utilization for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, support New Product Introduction (NPI), and provide mentorship and technical direction to test engineering and production teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of test processes and test capacity utilization plans across SMT production lines.
- Own and manage functional test programs, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and alignment with customer requirements.
- Serve as the technical authority for PCBA testing, providing guidance and escalation support for complex test issues.
- Train, mentor, and develop Test Engineers, A-Techs, and operators on test equipment, procedures, and best practices.
- Drive test engineering validation for new PCBA products and lead preparation of detailed NPI reports and customer recommendations.
- Monitor production test performance, including equipment uptime, downtime, and repair trends; analyze data and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and yield.
- Evaluate current and future test equipment and facility needs to ensure test readiness and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with vendors, Procurement, and Engineering teams to specify, source, and implement test fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex PCBA and system-level failures and recommend process or design improvements.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to define and sustain preventative maintenance programs for test equipment.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for daily production test execution, supporting line operations and resolving high-impact issues.
- Lead or actively participate in PFMEA, control plan development, and NPI activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on test efficiency, coverage, cost reduction, and quality.
- Provide regular reporting and technical updates to Engineering and Manufacturing leadership.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in test engineering within a PCBA or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes and board-level testing including FVT, FT, and FBT.
- Proven ability to lead test engineering activities, mentor team members, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and test systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced production environment with minimal supervision.
